A special thank you to Oak Hills High School Leadership Club. They partnered with Chick-fil-A and Coca-Cola for the Million Book Give Away. Members of the club brought each student in grades Kindergarten and 1st books and read to each class. We even had a special visitor, the Chick-fil-A Cow!

Valentine's Grams fundraiser starts January 22nd - February 2nd. Also, the Mission Crest Student Council planned a Spirit Week the week of Valentine's Day. Mission Crest is offering the Caregiver Workshop that focuses on strategies to work with children with anxiety, more specifically separation anxiety. If your child struggles with leaving home to go to school, this workshop is for you! The Caregiver Workshop is being offered for free at Mission Crest on February 7th from 10:00 - 12:00 in the Parent Center. See the flyer for more information.

Congratulations to Mrs. Olmendo's 3rd grade class and Mrs. Farr's 6th grade class on having the best overall attendance for the 2nd quarter. As an award, they had a special visit from the Chick-fil-A Cow and each student in the class was given a Chick-fil-A gift card. A special thank you to Chick-fil-a for supporting Mission Crest's positive attendance program!

It warms my heart to share this story. Mission Crest's Student Council members decided to support some Mission Crest families this year. They planned and held their own fundraiser, selected families, purchased gifts, and created gift baskets for families. I am so proud of them and their heart for our community!
